Within the event village you will see the directional signage guiding to the start line. Each start area will be marked out to help prepare you all into your start formations with help from the marshals. When arriving please familiarise yourself with the start area.
The start line is within the stadium. Please do not wait at the start line for the race start, you will be called from the Event Village into the stadium based on your expected finish time.
There will be plenty of toilets available within the Blackburn End (the north stand) inside the Stand itself.
During the race
The course heads out onto the closed roads of Blackburn for a fast 10k route that takes in Blackburn town centre before making its way back on a looped route toward Ewood Park.
You can see the course map HERE.
Spitting and nasal clearance during the race is NOT permitted.
As this is a road closed race you will find it hard to get around the course but you will be able to watch the start and finish from the stands in the Blackburn End.
Dogs are not allowed within the stadium.
There will be a water station at the 5k mark and at the finish line. We recommend staying hydrated in the lead up to the event.
We will have a an informal baggage drop, this will be in the Jack Walker Stand (the west stand) where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach to your bag. To collect, show your number to the baggage staff and they will help you find your baggage.
After the race
Do NOT stop within the finish area. Please continue through the finish until you pass the medals and are in an open space.
There will be sealed ACTIPH water bottles at the finish for each runner to collect along with your medal, Love Corn and Kind Snack bar which will be laid out on tables for you to help yourself.
